Best Places to Move for Seafood So, I'm not sure how likely it is that you would move to a new city, JUST for their seafood. But if you're a seafood lover, it can't hurt, right? So, we did a little research, and these are the top 15 cities in the U.S. for great seafood: Seattle, WA – Not only can you watch professionals toss fish at the Pike Place Fish Market, you can dine on some of the best fresh-caught seafood in the nation. San Francisco, CA – You won't get frozen fish here. The Bay area offers seaside dining and great fresh seafood. Fisherman's Wharf is a good place to start. Baltimore, MD – It's close to Chesapeake Bay and is known for amazing fresh crab. Seward, AK - So, with a name like Seward, you've got to imagine it would be famous for something related to the sea— and it is— king crab legs are a specialty in the area. Baton Rouge, LA - They cook it up Cajun-style in Baton Rouge. Crawfish are the area's specialty. Key West, FL - Really, any city in the Keys is a great place for seafood, especially that yummy gulf shrimp. ..Key West just has some great restaurants. Charleston, SC - The rumor is, they've got fresh crab legs to die for in Charleston! New Orleans, LA - Can't beat New Orleans crawfish. Honolulu, HI - They don't just have beautiful scenery in Honolulu...you'll also find some of the best seafood around. Brooksville, ME - They say the juiciest claws you'll find are in Maine. Boston, MA - There's a reason the largest North American seafood event is held in Boston. It's a city known for its seafood, especially fresh-from-the-Atlantic oysters.
