Move Management
MoveBuilder's Move Management Process
I'm the kind of person who needs to know ahead of time exactly what to expect— no surprises. Some may say that makes life boring, I say it makes life manageable.
After almost seven years of helping customers move long distance, I'm fairly sure that there aren't many other activities (if that's what you call it) with more potential for the unexpected to happen than when a person is moving. Admittedly, all of that potential gives me a little anxiety…and I'm not even moving. I think what people who have tendencies like mine really want to know is how things are going to work and what to expect on moving day. They also want to know how things will be handled if the unexpected does happen. That's why MoveBuilder has a move management process in place. In fact, each MoveBuilder customer is assigned a Move Manager who handles their entire move from start to finish.
Here's what to expect from MoveBuilder's Move Management process:
- 24-48 hours after booking your MoveBuilder move, your assigned Move Manager will call to review your move specifics. They'll verify addresses, move day, review what you're moving, provide any forms/documents you'll need and review other imperative information.
- 2 days prior to loading, your Move Manager will inform you of the estimated delivery time for the moving trailer or ReloCube(s). If you chose packing services, you will also be informed of the time the packers will arrive.
- 1 day prior to loading, your Move Manager will verify that the moving trailer or ReloCube has arrived and inform you of the estimated time the loaders will arrive on moving day.
- On moving day, your move manager will call to verify the movers have arrived and will check the loading progress. He/she will also communicate with the movers to verify the footage used. If an adjustment (plus or minus) is required, your move manager will contact you to advise.
- Once the trailer or ReloCube is completely loaded, he/she will schedule pick up and notify you of the estimated pick up time.
- 2 days before unloading, your Move Manager will inform you of the estimated delivery time.
- 1 day before unloading, he/she will verify the equipment has been delivered and inform you of an estimated unloading time.
- On unloading day, your move manager will verify the movers have arrived and check on unloading progress. Once complete, your move manager will schedule pick up and notify you of the estimated pick up time.
- The day after unloading, your move manager will call to verify the equipment has been picked up.
As you can see, MoveBuilder's move management process includes a significant amount of contact between you and your Move Manager. We think this is important for a seamless, stress-free move. The Move Manager's contact with both you and the movers pre-, during and post-move is important. If you encounter issues at any point during your move, make sure to communicate these issues to your Move Manager.
